There has been quite a bit of controversy surrounding ASDA with the takeover by the Issa Brothers and TDR Capital and the amount of debt now weighted onto the store.
Could they afford the deal? Is Lord Stuart Rose the expert to turn the store around as the current Chairman and acting co-CEO? What does Archie Norman, the CEO who sold the store to Walmart, think about the current state of play?
It was great to contribute to this show. Incidentally I do believe ASDA can turn it around with Lord Rose at the helm but it does need a supersonic CEO to lead the brand and -re-inspire the staff.
