Our chocolate comes from a House that’s been family-run since 1906.
These days they encourage farmers who were involved in the cocaine industry to switch to growing cocoa. Amelia has travelled extensively in Colombia to meet the farmers supplying the beans, visiting their plantations, the training school for farmers, trial plantations and lots more.
In all their work, sustainability is top of the agenda.
The 70% Dark cocoa beans are all from the same co-operative of growers in the north-western Arauca region, while the beans in the 41% Milk come from all over the country. Critically it’s all taken from bean to the ‘couverture’ stage in Colombia using 100% local ingredients
(cocoa, milk, sugar and vanilla).
