It's about to be a really exciting year ahead ... we are celebrating our 10th Anniversary. Ten years immersed in exceptional chocolate. Now that can't be bad.
Creating award-winning hand-made truffles and unique chocolate dipped crystallised flora in her kitchen at home Amelia set forth and launched Amelia Rope Chocolate. The early years were spent were commissions only. Retail kicked off following a commission from sofa.com for a chocolate bar. This first bar was single-origin and created from Mexican chocolate. The bars remain single-origin today.
At the beginning Amelia hand-foiled, hand signed and wrote the batch numbers and best before dates for each bar. She quickly found a team who could do this for her and labels, barcodes et al became printed. The first two single-origin bars had the 'it' factor and launched in Selfridges in September 2010.
Amelia Rope Chocolate now supplies small independents nationwide, major retailers such as Fortnum & Mason, boutique hotels and takes commissions from corporate clients. Amelia loves to travel and is building the export side ... the bars can be found in Hong Kong and the Middle East.
