Alex is the Bar Manager and comes with a heap of expertise with devising state of the art cocktails. Daniel is one of the team who conjured their creation up in front of my eager eyes.
The only requirement I gave them was it had to involve one of the bars I supplied them with and a cocktail that sends you to a moment of golden sparkle. A moment when you just help but giggle.
Get your spirits ready ... here is the recipe for:
Amelia's Old Fashioned
50ml Nikka Whisky
10ml Mozart Dark Chocolate Liquer
10ml Creme de Cacao
8 drops Cocoa bitter
5ml sugar syrup (2:1 sugar:water)
Milk Honeycomb & Sea Salt (for a decoration)
Swirling stick, glass jug and old-fashioned glass
Take your old-fashioned glass and fill it with ice cubes. Swirl the ice cubes around the glass to chill it.
Pour the Nikka whisky, Mozart liquer, Creme de Cacao, cocoa bitter and sugar syrup into your glass jug.
Fill the jug with ice cubes and swirl the cocktail.
Take a strainer and pour the cocktail into the glass.
Decorate with a thin work of art from the Milk Honeycomb & Sea Salt.
Get some good music on, perhaps a slice of jazz, and kick back!
